Many Gods and
Many Lords

The pious people of Christendom are generally satisfied
that they are serving the God of the Bible. They flock to
churches plastered with crosses, celebrate Christmas,
Easter, Valentine’s day and pray to their trinity god, Jesus.

What they don’t realize is that they are actually serving
a multitude of gods who oppose the God of the Bible.

5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven
or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many
"lords"), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father,
from whom all things came and for whom we live; and
there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all
things came and through whom we live.
(1Corinthians 8:5-6) (NIV)

And who is the True God?

8 I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not
give to another, neither my praise unto graven images.
(Isaiah 42:8) (American Standard Version)

Who is the trinity god?

Is Jehovah a trinity God?

9 And Jehovah shall be King over all the earth: in that day
shall Jehovah be one, and his name one.
(Zecariah 14:9) (ASV)

The Bible says - No, He is NOT!

"The Church of Rome borrowed her doctrine
of the Divinity of Christ from the pagans
and the way they worshipped their pagan gods,
as half human and half god. Their adoration
of Jesus as a man-god was almost identical
to their devotions to the ancient pagan gods."
-Pagan Origin of Partialist Doctrines
By John Claudius Pitrat
Published 1871

"The cult that arose in Babylon and spread its cult
tentacles throughout the world was
trinitarian
(Two Babylons, by Alexander Hislop). At first,
this doctrine was merely humanism, man making
himself god. The first humanism trinity of record to
be setup and worshiped as gods, was that of Nimrod,
Simeramus, and Tammuz. These are in the Old
Testament in the Canaanite language identified as
Baal, Ashtoreth, and Tammuz. At the dispersion of
the people at the Tower of Babel, this trinity doctrine
of humanism was spread all over the world. Each
religion of all the pagan religions held two common
traits: 1.) A trinity of gods and; 2.) These were in a
form of human gods."
-Jesus Messieh Fellowship
The Trinity Doctrine Is Pagan
By Cohen G. Reckart, Pastor

Why did pagan beliefs become incorporated
into the beliefs God’s son brought us?

1 Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times
some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow
deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.
2 These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences
are dead.
(1Timothy 4:1-2) (New Living Translation)

Who is Jesus?

This seems like a silly question since most people,
even non-Christians will identify "Jesus" as the son
of God. Oddly enough,
that is not the name of
God’s son!
It is fairly common knowledge that
Christ's name in the Hebrew texts of the Bible is
"Yeshua". Whenever the name "Yeshua" is enountered
it is supposed to be translated to "Joshua".
This is
as it should be.

"Jesus - In Hebrew it is the same as Joshua.
In two places [Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8] in
the New Testament it is used where is means
Joshua, the leader of the Jews into Canaan,
and in our translation
the name Joshua should
have been retained."
-Albert Barnes' -
Notes on the New Testament
Notes on Matthew 1:21

"Joshua" or "Jehoshua" translates
as "The Salvation of Jehovah".

"(Joshua) Yahshua/Yahushua/Yahoshua, is the
correct Name for the Savior. In all spellings and
pronunciation, the Name is rendered to mean
"salvation of YAH" or "YAH'S salvation/ (His)
Savior." The Name (Joshua) in its fullest translation
means, "He (YAH) shall save His people. (Yah or
Jah - is an abbreviation for Jehovah) (Just as Yeshua
(Joshua) is an abbreviation for Yehoshuah or Jehoshuah) -
(meaning - The Salvation of Jehovah - or Jehovah's Savior)."
-COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE,
by C. J. Koster

"The name "Jehoshua" means the same as Joshua."
-Hitchcocks’s Dictionary of Bible Names

Since "Yehoshua" or "Jehoshua" literally means "the
Salvation of Jehovah" - we can see why people said
that he came in his Father's Name.

9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed,
cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David:
Blessed is
he that cometh in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in
the highest.
(Matthew 21:9) (NIV)

We can also see why Jehovah chose this name for his son -
because "Jehoshua" is to be the means by which Jehovah
would provide Salvation to Mankind. This is in total agreement
with the prophet Joel, who said that only those calling upon the
name of "Jehovah" would be saved.

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call
on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered..."
(Joel 2:32) (ASV)

So how did Jehoshua Christ come to be known as "Jesus"?

"It is known that the Greek name endings with sus,
seus, and sous were attached by the Greeks to names
and geographical areas as means to give honour to
their supreme deity, Zeus."
-Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend
Professor J. C. J. Metford

So what does the name, "Jesus" Mean, in Greek?

"Some authorities, who have spent their entire
lives studying the origins of names believe
that "Jesus" actually means - "Hail Zeus!"
For Iesous in Greek IS
"Hail Zeus."
"Ie" translates as "Hail" and "sous"
or "sus" translates as Zeus.
The English
name "Jesus", therefore, stems etymologically
from "Jupiter-Zeus" the chief god of the
ancient Greek Olympus."
-"Yeshua" or "Jesus" -- Which?
Biblical Research Institute; 1996
by Les Aron Gosling

How Insulting!

Of all the insulting and barabaric beliefs incorporated
into modern Christianity, it is difficult to find a more
egregious and slanderous defamation.

Zeus JPG

How can it get worse?
Who does the cross really belong to?

"It was not until Christianity began to be PAGANIZED that
the cross came to be thought of as a Christian symbol."
- Babylon Mystery Religion; Ralph Woodrow (pg 50)

'That which is now called the Christian cross was originally
no Christian emblem at all, but was the mystic Tau of the
Chaldeans (Babylonians) and the Egyptians."
- Alexander Hislop, The Two Babylons, 2nd American edition.
(Neptune, New Jersey, U.S.A: Loizeaux Brothers, 1959;
(originally written in 1862), pp. 197-205.

'There is hardly a Pagan tribe where the cross has not been
found.
The cross was worshipped by the Pagan Celts
long before the incarnation and death of Christ.
'(10)
- 10. Ibid. p. 199. 'Crabb's Mythology, p. 163.'

"Various objects, dating from periods long anterior to the
Christian era, have been found, marked with crosses of
different designs, in almost every part of the old world.
India, Syria, Persia and Egypt have all yielded numberless
examples... The use of the cross as a religious symbol in
pre-Christian times and among non-Christian peoples may
probably be regarded as almost universal, and in very many
cases it was connected with some form of nature worship."
—Encyclopædia Britannica (1946), Vol. 6, p. 753. "Cross"

Christians know this commandment:

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
(Exodus 20:3) (ASV)

But most nominal Christians eagerly serve many
false gods on their sacred days willingly.

What other gods do nominal Christians worship?

Many people are at least vaguely aware that God's son,
our messiah was not born on December 25th.

Who was born on that day?

"December 25th - not only was Mithra, the sun-god of
Mithraism, said to be born at this time of the year, but
Osiris, Horus, Hercules, Bacchus, Adonis, Jupiter,
Tammuz, and other sun-gods were also supposedly
born at what is today called the "Christmas" season,
the winter solstice!"
- Doane, p.474;
- "The Two Babylons; Alexander Hislop, p.93.

"The winter solstice (December) was the time at which
all the sun-gods from Osiris to Jupiter and Mithra had
celebrated their (birthdays) - the celebration being
adorned with the pine tree of Adonis, the holly of Saturn,
and the mistletoe (of the pagan Druids)... tapers(candles)
represented the kindling of the newborn sun-god's fire..."
-Man and His Gods, p. 201.

And more gods...

"Easter is a heathen term, derived from the Saxon
goddess Eastre, the same as Astarte, the Syrian Venus,
called Ashtoreth in the Old Testament."
- The Companion Bible, King James Version
(Grand Rapids, Michigan: Kregel Publications,
1990), p.1607.)

The history of Valentine's Day is obscure, and further
clouded by various fanciful legends. The holiday's roots
are in the ancient Roman festival of
Lupercalia, a fertility
celebration commemorated annually on February 15.
Pope Gelasius I recast this pagan festival as a Christian
feast day circa 496, declaring February 14 to be St.
Valentine's Day.

How do Christians end their prayers to their God?

Amen

According to the online Encyclopedia Wikipedia:

Amun (also spelled Amon, Amoun, Amen, and
rarely Imen,
Greek Ἄμμων Ammon, and Ἅμμων
Hammon, reconstructed
Egyptian Yamānu) was
the name of a
deity, in Egyptian mythology, who
gradually rose to become one of the most important
deities in Ancient Egypt, before fading into obscurity.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amun

What do the multi-god worshiping nominal Christians look forward to?

"On that day of judgment," says the LORD, "I will
punish the leaders... and all those
following pagan
customs
."
(Zephaniah 1:8) (New Living Translation)

29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained
down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 "It will
be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
(Luke 17:29-30) (NIV)

What day?

37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the
coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before
the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying
and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered
the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would
happen until the flood came and took them all away.
That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
(Matthew 24:37-39) (NIV)

What is a much better idea?

This is what Jehovah's people, would suggest:

"Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the
chaff, before the fierce anger of Jehovah come upon you,
before the day of Jehovah's anger come upon you.
Seek
ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth
, that have kept his
ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be
ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger."
(Zephaniah 2:2,3) (ASV)

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
(Romans 12:9) (NIV)

The "Hand of Jehovah"

 hand-of-god large2

One of the most popular messages the church crowd hears from
their Christendom priests and ministers is "God loves you -
just as you
are
". While it is absolutely true that God loves us as His children,
He
does not love evil people doing evil things
. He never has and
never
will. Jehovah has executed judgment on wrongdoers many times in the
past and many people criticize Him for taking such drastic action.

"that all the peoples of the earth may know the HAND of Jehovah,
that it is mighty;  that ye may fear Jehovah your God - for ever."
(Joshua 4:24) (American Standard Version)

Fear God?

Why? Why should we be afraid of God if He is a God of love?

"I will cause them to know  MY HAND -and- MY MIGHT and
they shall Know that MY NAME is Jehovah."
(Jeremiah 16:21) (Young's Literal Translation)

Do we have something to worry about?

"but if ye will not hearken unto the voice of Jehovah,
but rebel against the commandment of Jehovah,
then will the HAND of Jehovah be against you..."
(1Samuel 12:15) (ASV)

"...JEHOVAH... in thy HAND there is POWER
and MIGHT - and none can withstand thee."
(2Chronicles 20:6) (Darby)

Just how much does God love us as we are?

Did God almost exterminate all of us once?

5 The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth,
and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently
and totally evil. 6 So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and
put them on the earth. It broke his heart. 7 And the Lord said,
“I will
wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth.

Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals,
the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of
the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.”
(Genesis 6:5-7) (New Living Translation)

What about judgment against cities full of people?

23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot came unto Zoar.
24 Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah
brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven; 25 and he
overthrew those cities, and all the Plain, and all the inhabitants
of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
(Genesis 19:23-25) (ASV)

1 Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I have made you like God
to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet. 2 You are
to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell
Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. 3 But I will harden
Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my miraculous signs and
wonders in Egypt, 4 he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on
Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions,
my people the Israelites. 5 And the Egyptians will know that I am the
LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites
out of it."
(Exodus 7:1-5) (New International Version)

There are many more stories in the Bible about Jehovah’s
judgement. They are there to teach us that
Jehovah means
business
. It is a bad idea to keep on believing that He will
never get angry with us. Jehovah is a loving God but
He
has His limits.

Does Jehovah see everything we are doing?

The Eyes of Jehovah...

"...the EYES of Jehovah... run to and fro through the whole earth."
(Zechariah 4:10) (ASV)

"The EYES of Jehovah are in every place,
Keeping watch upon the evil and the good."
(Proverbs 15:3) (ASV)

"For the ways of man are before the EYES of Jehovah,
and he pondereth all his paths."
(Proverbs 5:21) (Darby)

"For God carefully WATCHES the way that people live;
he sees everything they do. No darkness is thick enough
to hide the wicked from his EYES. For it is not up to
mortals to decide when to come before God in judgment.
He will openly strike them down for their wickedness.
For they turned aside from following him. They have no
respect for any of his ways."
(Job 34:21-23) (New Living Translation)

"From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind;
from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth-"
(Psalm 33:13,14) (NIV)

"Behold, the EYE of Jehovah is upon them that fear him,
Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness; To deliver
their soul from death, And to keep them alive..."
(Psalm 33:18,19) (ASV)

"Don't say, "I didn't know it!" God can read your mind.
He WATCHES each of us ; and knows our thoughts.
And God will pay us back for what we do."
(Proverbs 24:12) (Contemporary English Version)

"The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous, and his
ears are open unto their cry. The face of Jehovah is against
them that do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them
from the earth."
(Psalm 34:15,16) (ASV)

People blithely believe that Jehovah does not exist, does not care
or cannot do anything about the evil things that people are doing.

But that is not what the Bible warns!

"They say, "God can't see!  He's got on a blindfold." The wicked
don't respect you. In their hearts they say, 'God won't punish us!'
But you see the trouble and the distress,
and you will do something..."
(Psalm 10:11,13,14) (CEV)

"You make God tired with all your talk. "How do we tire him out?"
you ask. By saying, "God loves sinners and sin alike. God loves all."
And also by saying, "Judgment? God's too nice to judge."
(Malachi 2:17) (Message Bible)

"Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly,
therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully
to do evil."
(Ecclesiastes 8:11) (New American Standard Bible)

Jehovah has definite plans for evil and disobedient people.

"Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven;
His eyes behold, his eyelids try the children of men. Upon
the
wicked
he will rain snares;
Fire and brimstone and burning
wind shall be the portion of their cup
."
(Psalm 11:4,6) (ASV)

"I will pour out my vengeance on all... that refuse to OBEY me."
(Micah 5:15) (NLT)

"If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the
knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a
fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will
consume the enemies of God."
(Hebrews 10:26,27) (NIV)

Jehovah Will Send Christ back to execute His judgment

"...for they shall cry unto Jehovah because of oppressors, and he
will send them a saviour, and a defender, and he will deliver them."
(Isaiah 19:20) (ASV)

"...At the time that God has already decided, he will send Jesus Christ
back again."
(1Timothy 6:15) (CEV)

"The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will "WEED OUT"
of his kingdom  everything that causes sin and all who do evil."
(Matthew 13:36-41) (NIV)

"...This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in
blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do
NOT know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They
will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the
presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day
he comes to be glorified."
(2Thessalonians 1:7-10) (NIV)

JESUS  DECLARED : "I have come in My Father's name and with His power..."
(John 5:43) (Amplified Bible)

Divine Reward and Punishment

Foolish people believe that it is enough just to know who Jesus is.
They believe that Jesus also loves us no matter what.
The Bible's
prophets indicate that there is more to know than that.

5 But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin,
you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a
day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be
revealed. 6 He will judge everyone according to what they have
done. 7 He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good,
seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.
8 But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for
themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of
wickedness.
(Romans 2:5-8) (NLT)

"...they do NOT listen to God's word or OBEY it, and so they
meet the fate that has been planned for them."
(1Peter 2:8) (NLT)

"...God requires obedience to all of his commands."
(Romans 10:5) (NLT)

"See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it."
(Deuteronomy 12:32) (NIV)

"God will give to each person according to what he has done."
(Romans 2:6) (NIV)

"...each will  receive his own reward according to his own labor. "
(1Corinthians 3:8) (NASB)

"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the
throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened,
which is the book of life. The dead were judged according
to what they had done as recorded in the books."
(Revelation 20:12) (NIV)

"And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no
favorites when he judges. He will judge or reward you according to
what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him..."
(1Peter 1:17) (NLT)

"You see that a man is justified - pronounced righteous before
God - through what he does and not alone through faith..."
(James 2:24) (AMP)

"I, Jehovah, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man
according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings."
(Jeremiah 17:10) (ASV)

People complain that God is being mean.

"How can a loving God have such terrible plans for us?
How can He be called a God of Love?"

Are they terrible plans or are the evil and violent people
just getting what they deserve?

"For yet a little while, and the evildoers will be no more;
though you look with care where they used to be, they
will not be found. But the meek in the end shall inherit
the earth and
shall delight themselves in the
abundance of peace
."
(Psalm 37:10,11) (AMP)

"For evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah,
they shall inherit the earth. For just a little while longer, and the
wicked ones shall be no more: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider
his place, and he shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace... The
righteous shall inherit the earth, And dwell therein for ever... Wait
for Jehovah, and keep his way, And he will exalt thee to inherit the
earth; When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it."
(Psalm 37:9-11,29,34) (ASV)

"...And you will destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth."
(Revelation 11:18) (NLT)

This prophecy is just one of many made long ago for the
benefit of Jehovah's people. Jesus himself assured them
that their patience will eventually be rewarded.

"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."
(Matthew 5:5) (King James Version)

What kind of Earth do the meek want, the tumultuous and
violent world we have today or a kinder, gentler world?

"This world as you see it -  is on its way out."
(1Corinthians 7:31) (Message Bible)

"But God has promised us a new heaven and a new earth,
where justice will rule. We are really looking forward to that!"
(2Peter 3:13) (CEV)

It will be a much quieter and better world indeed!

"Look! I am creating... A NEW EARTH -- so wonderful that
no one will even think about the old one anymore."
(Isaiah 65:17) (NLT)

"He will swallow up death for ever; and the Lord Jehovah
will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of
his people will he take away from off all the earth.."
(Isaiah 25:8) (ASV)

"...And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death
shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish nor grief nor pain
any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things
have passed away."
(Revelation 21:1-5) (AMP)

Should we blindly believe that "God loves us all just
as we are" or change our ways before it is too late?

"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands
all people everywhere to repent
. For he has set a day when he will
judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given
proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."
(Acts 17:30,31) (NIV)

They Don't Want to Hear it!

hear it collage1
The Bible has an enormous amount of valuable information
in it. Some of the information is historical, some is anecdotal
but there is a large amount of prophecy and wisdom that is so
important we would be foolish to ignore it. But many people do!

How can people ignore the wisdom of the Bible?

Many people consider the Bible to be a book of dead history.

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers
will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They
will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised?" By the same
word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being
kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
(2Peter 3:3,4,7) (New International Version)

On the other hand, there are people who love and cherish SOME
of the Bible's wisdom. They pick and choose what they want from
the Bible. If they see or hear something that is unpleasant or
disagreeable, they ignore it as if it wasn't even written there.

"But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not.."
(Ezekiel 2:7) (New American Standard Bible)

The words written in the Bible came from God. Not just
any God, but Jehovah God. Jehovah had His many prophets
write the words in the Bible for a purpose. That is because
every word that Jehovah utters has a purpose.

10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth and
making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for
the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word
that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me
empty, but will accomplish what I desire and
achieve
the purpose for which I sent it
.
(Isaiah 55:10-11) (NIV)

"...I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end
from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I
say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please."
(Isaiah 46:9,10) (NIV)

The Bible indeed has many words of encouragement and comfort
but it also has numerous warnings for us to heed.

"...the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying... give them warning from me. "
(Ezekiel 3:16,17) (American Standard Version)

Picking and Choosing

Many members of Christendom only want to hear scriptures
that please them. They do not want to hear "ALL" that God
or His son said. Many pick and choose the scriptures to soothe
them, and make them feel comfortable and complacent. When
other scriptures are presented to them, ones that require action
on their part or suggest that a change is needed - they often get
angry and quickly reject both the scripture and the source.

But Who Are They Hurting ?

Only Themselves!

Why?

The answer is simple - by refusing to listen to scriptures where
Christ or his Father gives a warning, the reader has instantly
rejected not only Christ's message but also the originator of that
message - our Heavenly Father, Jehovah God.

Christ Said - "...anyone who says 'No' to me
is really saying 'No' - to the one who sent me."
(Luke 10:16) (Contemporary English Version)

"...if you don't accept the trustworthiness of the One who
commanded my words and acts, none of it matters. That is
who you are questioning -not me but the One who sent me."
(John 8:28) (Message Bible)

He also said - "There is a lot more I could say to condemn
you. But the one who sent me is truthful, and I tell the
people of this world only what I have heard from him."
(John 8:26) (CEV)

Rejecting the warning scriptures, and only clinging to pleasanter
ones will not stop the inevitable from happening.  Yes, whether
they like it or not, A world-wide warning has been given and the
outcome, as given, will truly happen, whether they listen or not.

What Warning Scriptures?

"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands
all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will
judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has
given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."

Acts 17:30, 31) (NIV)

Judge the world?

"But my minister says God loves us just as we are!"

Is that really so?

9Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the
Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual
sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals,
10thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers--none of
these will have a share in the Kingdom of God.
(1Corinthians 6:9-10) (NIV)

"...he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah
by burning them to ashes, and made them an example
of what is going to happen to the ungodly;"
(2Peter 2:6) (NIV)

Christ issued some serious Warnings.

"As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire,
so it will be at the end of the age."
(Matthew 13:40) (NIV)

"I have come to bring fire on the earth,
and how I wish it were already kindled!"
(Luke 12:49) (NIV)

"But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from
heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like this on the
day the Son of Man is revealed."
(Luke 17:29-30) (NIV)

"I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom
on the day of judgment than for you."
(Matthew 11:24) (NIV)

But Christ was not the only one...

"Just a little while longer, and the wicked ones will be no more;
though you look for them, they will not be found. But
the meek
will inherit the earth and enjoy great peace. "

(Psalm 37: 10,11) (NIV)

"For the upright shall dwell in the earth, and the righteous shall
remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and
the treacherous shall be rooted out of it."
(Proverbs 2:21,22) (NIV)

17 You make God tired with all your talk. "How do we tire him out?"
you ask.
By saying, "God loves sinners and sin alike. God loves all."
And also by saying, "Judgment? God's too nice to judge."
(Malachi 2:17) (Message Bible)

"...This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from
heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will
punish those who do not know God and do not obey the
gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with ever-
lasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the
Lord and from the majesty of his power
on the day he
comes to be glorified."
(2Thessalonians 1:7-10) (NIV)

"...And you will destroy all who have caused
destruction on the earth."
(Revelation 11:18) (New Livinig Translation)

This is fair warning for those who blithely believe that
"God and Jesus loves all of us just as we are!"

How bad will it be?

“And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in
that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end
of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be
gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the
ground they will become.”

(Jeremiah 25:33) (Young's Literal Translation)

Along with the warnings come blessings for the righteous.

"Happy are the meek and mild for they will inherit the earth."
(Matthew 5:5) (Amplified Bible)

"We are looking for what God has promised, which are new heavens
and a new earth. Only what is right and good will be there."
(2Peter 3:13) (New Life Version)

The Work of the Apostles

Almost two thousand years ago the apostles and disciples
of Christ devoted their lives to doing his work.

What was it like to be a follower of Christ?

He had a mission while he was here on the earth: to spread
the information all of us need.

Was the message about a true God and a true religion?
Was it about being saved just by believing in him?
What was the message that Jesus wanted his followers to spread?

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole
world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
(Matthew 24:14) (New International Version)

Was that it? Was that the message? Talk about the
“end of the world”almost two thousand years ago?

7 As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.'
(Matthew 10:7) (NIV)

That was the message! Although Christ had a great many things
to do: announce his presence as the long-awaited Messiah, heal
the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, talk about a great many
other things, even die for our sins; but before he died one of his
main messages concerned the period of time that we live in now
and he began the work a very long ago to give everybody who
lived on the earth a chance to hear the Kingdom Message right
up to this day.

Could Christ do the work all by himself?

No. The work of spreading the good news of the kingdom
was a monumental task then. He needed all the help he
could get, so he recruited followers.

18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw
two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.
They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers
of men." 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.”
(Matthew 4:18-20) (NIV)

Now that he had people helping him, they went forth to do
his Father’s work:

23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues,
preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing
every disease and sickness among the people.”
(
Matthew 4:23) (NIV)

This important work continues today. The true followers of Jesus
do not have the power to heal the sick or cast out demons now,
but the preaching work is being done world-wide. Unfortunately
Christendom engages in a similar preaching activity, but the
difference is that the ministers of Christendom teach false doctrines
such as:

·
The Trinity – is not a Christian doctrine, it is a Pagan one.
·
Jesus is God – an essential part of the Trinity myth.
·
Clergy-laity – Ministers sermonize to the congregation.
·
“Christian holidays” - All of which are Pagan in origin.
·
All dead people go to Heaven or Hell.
·
The cross is sacred it is actually Pagan.
·
Once saved, always saved - another widespread false belief.
·
Tithing – ministers of Christendom want to be supported
by the congregation.

To truly follow God's son it is necessary to understand
what his followers were expected to do.

His followers first had to acquire an accurate knowledge of
his Father, Jehovah. Being that he was Jehovah’s son, he
was qualified to teach his Father’s requirements. The disciples
learned what Jesus taught and went forth to teach others. Pagan
religions were widespread at the time, and are still widespread to
this day. Their first priority was to preach to the Jews in order
that the Jews would have the chance to hear from the Messiah
himself that he had come to fulfill Prophecy as promised:

1 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority
to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions:
"Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the
Samaritans. 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you
go, preach this message:
'The kingdom of heaven is near.'
8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,
drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

(Matthew 10:1,5-8) (NIV)

As we can see, Christ and his followers only preached to the Jews,
not the gentiles at this time. This is primarily because Jehovah had
a covenant with His “chosen people” and their job was to gather true
believers from among them. This conversion of Jews to Christianity
was necessary since so many of the Jews harbored false beliefs that
persist to this day. Notice that the main preaching work was, again,
specifically:
The kingdom of heaven is near.

Just how serious was he about the end of this world?

3 Later, Jesus sat on the slopes of the Mount of Olives. His
disciples came to him privately and asked, "When will all this
take place? And will there be any sign ahead of time to signal
your return and the end of the world?" 4 Jesus told them,
"Don't let anyone mislead you. 5 For many will come in my
name, saying, `I am the Messiah.' They will lead many astray.
6 And wars will break out near and far, but don't panic. Yes,
these things must come, but the end won't follow immediately.
7 The nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other,
and there will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the
world. 8 But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors
to come
.”
(Matthew 24:3-8) (New Living Translation)

Christ could not have preached the kingdom message to
the people of the world all by himself. By recruiting followers
he made the large task easier. Today there are more than six
million followers of Christ in more than two hundred countries
preaching the “good news of the kingdom”. This is still the
primary message because we are living in the last days and the
end of this wicked system of things is closer now than ever.
Close enough that
most of us now living will live to see it.

Do people attending the churches of Christendom
know all about Armageddon?

Most do because it has suddenly become fashionable to talk
about it. However, the ministers of Christendom give misleading
information about Armageddon. The typical message is that the
world will be totally destroyed but all of the “faithful” will be
gathered up safely to Heaven, leaving the wicked people behind
to be destroyed. This is not entirely correct, although there are
scriptures that seem to suggest it. There are numerous other
scriptures in the Bible that show there is far more to the story.

29 The righteous shall inherit the land and dwell upon it forever.”

(Psalm 37:29) (English Standard Version)

4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever.”
(Ecclesiastes 1:4) (New International Version)

18 For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the
God that formed the earth and made it, that established
it and created it not a waste, that formed it to be
inhabited:
I am Jehovah; and there is none else.”

(Isaiah 45:18) (American Standard Version)

What we need to keep in mind is that Christ and his followers
were destined to serve in Heaven and they preached primarily
to people who were invited to follow them to Heaven! This
is where the idea that “everybody who dies will go to heaven”
comes from - the fact that
Christ spoke about heaven all the
time to his followers:

19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break
in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in
heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where
thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your
treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
(Matthew 6:19-21) (NIV)

Should we be dismayed that we will not live forever in Heaven
or should we be glad that we can live forever on the earth in
the paradise that God originally intended for us?

9 After this I looked and there before me was a great
multitude that no one could count, from every nation,
tribe, people and language, standing before the throne
and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes
and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And
they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our
God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." 13 Then
one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who
are they, and where did they come from?" 14 I answered,
"Sir, you know." 15 And he said, "
These are they who
have come out of the great tribulation
; they have
washed their robes and made them white in the blood
of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the throne of
God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he
who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.
16
Never again will they hunger; never again will
they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor
any scorching heat
. 17 For the Lamb at the center of
the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to
springs of living water. And God will wipe away every
tear from their eyes."

(REV 7:9-10, 13-17) NIV)

This will be the beginning of a new era. The old world with all of
the rampant evil will be wiped out. Jehovah will fulfill all of the
ancient prophecies and bring back the earth to an eternal paradise
just as He promised. This message was preached for centuries and
is still being preached today because the time is coming soon.

What kind of a paradise earth can we expect?

6 And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard
shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion
and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones
shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the
ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp,
and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain;
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as
the waters cover the sea.
(Isaiah 11:6-9) (ASV)

The Power of Prayer

Most of the people in this world follow a religion
and in many religions is a provision for communicating
with a deity. Christendom, especially Catholicism,
promotes the idea that mindless repetition of the
Lord’s Prayer is the accepted way to pray to their
nameless lord and that is exactly what they do. A lot!
This is not really what Jehovah, the true God, wants
from us. To worship Jehovah properly we need to
pray to our Heavenly Father, but not repetitiously.

After all, how would we like it if people came up to
us and muttered the same phrases to us over and over?

People would not conceive of talking to other people like a
"broken record", so why do people treat The God who created
the universe as if He would like to hear monotonous repetition?

Jehovah’s Son never taught that:

"But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:
for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking."
(Matthew 6:7) (King James Version)

People around the world love to pray repetitiously to their false
gods, so we should want to avoid being like them. When Christ
gave us the "Lord’s prayer", he made it plain that it was a guide
to go by:

"Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth
what things ye have need of, before ye ask him."
(Matthew 6:8) (King James Version)

What else do we need to know?

A lot more than the bumbling preachers of Christendom teach!
Prayer should only be directed to Jehovah – as He requires –
not His Son or anybody else!

1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am Jehovah thy God,
who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
(Exodus 20:1-3) (ASV)

Proper prayer to Jehovah is a serious business. If we want Jehovah
to listen to our prayers, we must do it the way He requires. Jehovah
has strict requirements but He doesn’t really ask for much!

Most people know to pray to Jehovah in His Son’s name.

This is why:

6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me."
(John 14:6) (NIV)

But more importantly,

"If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."
(John 14:14) (New Living Translation)

Most Christians are more than happy to pray to God in Jesus’ name.
About two billion Christians around the world pray to God in Jesus’
name every day. Their first mistake is praying to God without specifying
which God. Consequently, Jehovah may disregard their prayers.

What is the second mistake?

Oddly enough, it is praying in Jesus’ name!

And why is that?

Jehovah’s Son is not named Jesus! According to the
Catholic Encyclopedia:
http://www.catholicity.com/encyclopedia/

JESUS

The word Jesus is the Latin form of the Greek Iesous,
which in turn is the transliteration of the Hebrew Jeshua,
or Joshua, or again Jehoshua, meaning "Jehovah is salvation."

From: http://www.catholicity.com/encyclopedia/j/jesus_christ,origin_of_name_of.html

This is a widespread and popular belief. Many people are
already aware that the Son of God’s name in Hebrew is
Yeshua or Jeshua. That is True enough.

What else is true?

"Joshuah" or "Jehoshuah" translates
as "The Salvation of Jehovah".

"(Joshua) Yahshua/Yahushua/Yahoshua, is the
correct Name for the Savior. In all spellings and
pronunciation, the Name is rendered to mean
"salvation of YAH" or "YAH'S salvation/ (His)
Savior." The Name (Joshua) in its fullest translation
means, "He (YAH) shall save His people. (Yah or
Jah - is an abbreviation for Jehovah) (Just as Yeshua
(Joshua) is an abbreviation for Yehoshuah or Jehoshuah) -
(meaning - The Salvation of Jehovah - or Jehovah's Savior)."
-COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE,
by C. J. Koster

We can see that Jehoshuah means "Jehovah's Savior"

"The name "Jehoshua" means the same as Joshua."
-Hitchcocks’s Dictionary of Bible Names

Since "Jehoshuah" or "Joshua" literally means "the
Salvation of Jehovah" - we can see why people said
that he came in his Father's Name.

9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed,
cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David:
Blessed is
he that cometh in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna
in the highest.
(Matthew 21:9) (NIV)

We can also see why Jehovah chose this name for his Son -
because "Jehoshua" is to be the means by which Jehovah
would provide salvation to Mankind. This is in total
agreement with the prophet Joel, who said that only those
calling upon the name of "Jehovah" would be saved.

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call
on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered..."
(Joel 2:32) (ASV)

So what is wrong with calling our Savior "Jesus"?

"It is known that the Greek name endings with sus,
seus, and sous were attached by the Greeks to names
and geographical areas as means to give honour to
their supreme deity, Zeus."
-Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend
Professor J. C. J. Metford

So what does the name, "Jesus" Mean, in Greek?

"Some authorities, who have spent their entire
lives studying the origins of names believe
that "Jesus" actually means - "Hail Zeus!"
For
Iesous in Greek IS "Hail Zeus."
"Ie" translates as "Hail" and "sous"
or "sus" translates as Zeus. The English
name "Jesus", therefore, stems etymologically
from "Jupiter-Zeus" the chief god of the
ancient Greek Olympus."
-"Yeshua" or "Jesus" -- Which?
Biblical Research Institute; 1996
by Les Aron Gosling

From: http://www.meguiar.addr.com/End_Times_Table_of_Contents.htm

How did "Jehoshua" mutate into "Jesus"?

"And so it is throughout Christendom. The name of
Jahwah is ignored by the apostate religion. When
the Savior was born into the world his mother was
a Hebrew maid of the tribe of Judah; but His Father
was the Almighty whose name alone is Jahwah, or Jah.

Strong's, Hebrew # 3050; Jah; the sacred name. As
He was the Son of Jahwah, it was evident that He
would carry His Father's name, and He plainly states
saying, " I am come in My Father's Name." John 5; 43.

Our translated scripture says that Jahwah's Son's name
is Jesus, a compound word of Ie and Zeus. But remember
the heavenly messenger spoke unto a Hebrew, and
declared His name in the Hebrew, which the writer
explained to mean, "Jah is Salvation."

This name, Jahshuwah, being Hebrew, was objectionable
to the Greeks and Romans, who hated the Judeans, and
so it was deleted from the records, and a new name inserted.

Jahshuwah was thus replaced by Ie-Sous, now known to
us as Jesus
.

The new religion was known as Christianity, because the
supreme deity of it was called Christos, and so we ask,
whence came Christos ?

The Hebrews called their coming Savior the Messiah.
The disciples of the Savior accepted Him as such, and
to them He was known as Jahshuwah the Messiah.
The Greeks, however, rejected the Hebrew name, and
called Him Christos, similar to Chrisna ( Krisna ), name
of the deity-savior of the East.

Among the people of the East, a sun-god savior was
worshipped by the name of Krisna, and so among the
Greeks of the new religion the Savior was known as
Kristos, or Christos. Thus the Sanskrit name was of
the Indian messiah became the name of the messiah
of the new religion, and it was known as the new Christian
( Krisna ) faith.

They had worshipped Zeus, or Jupiter, as the supreme
deity, so now they were told the new name was Theos,
or Dios, or God. Their savior was Zeus, so now they
were to accept Jesus ( Iesous, or Zeus ).

He came in His Father's Name and by that we must
adore Him. Away with the pagan name Christ, heathen
name Jesus, and exalt the Savior, Jahshuwah, the Son
of Jahwah, by His own name."
THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTIANITY: by A.B. Traina

From: http://www.meguiar.addr.com/origin_of_christianity.htm

Other Scholars agree.

"Many people think that we are just trying to be different
and make another cult, but let us examine the facts. It is
admitted that the Saviour never heard himself addressed
as Jesus Christ, not even when Greeks went to Philip and
said, "We would see Yahushua" (John 12:20-21). The
Greek proselytes knew him as Yahushua, and as the
Messiah, for there is no other NAME under heaven, given
unto men, whereby we must be saved. The name "Jesus"
was never applied to the Saviour during His lifetime, nor
for nearly 300 years after His death and resurrection."

From: http://yahushua.net/nicolaitan.htm

"Jesus. That was a name given to him
by the early church many years after
His death. They wanted to remove any
Jewishness from the new church.
They eliminated His Jewish name and
blended the name of Zeus into the
Christian church to make it comfortable
for all those who previously worshipped
the Greek and Roman gods. It made it
easier for the pagans to become Christians.
Since Zeus was the top god of their experience,
attaching the name Ioesus to Yahshua gave
Him top priority in the worship hierarchy."
-Winds of Praise Broadcasting
Believer or Follower?
The Sound of the Shofar
By Jon Thompson

So we can plainly see that the name, "Jesus" is the opposite
of the name, "Jehoshua". Now that we understand that, we
now know better than to pray to a nameless lord in Jesus’
name. Now that "The End" of this world is so near, people
have an extra incentive to pray to Jehovah is His Son’s actual
name as Bible prophecy requires.

"Hail Zeus" or "Salvation of Jehovah"?

...this is what was said through the prophet Joel,
"And in the last days," God says... everyone who
calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved."
(Acts 2:16,17,21) (NWT)
www.watchtower.org

"For the Scripture says... 'everyone who calls on the name
of Jehovah will be saved.'"
(Romans 10:11,13) (NWT)
www.watchtower.org

Lastly, we have a quaint way of ending our prayers
that has got to stop. Now is a good time!

Amen

According to the online Encyclopedia Wikipedia:

"Amun (also spelled Amon, Amoun, Amen, and
rarely Imen,
Greek Ἄμμων Ammon, and Ἅμμων
Hammon, reconstructed
Egyptian Yamānu) was
the name of a
deity, in Egyptian mythology, who
gradually rose to become one of the most important
deities in Ancient Egypt, before fading into obscurity."

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amun

We have all been tricked into ending our
prayers with the name of an Egyptian god!

We can be sure that Jehovah does not want to hear that!
We can be equally sure that Jehovah does not want to
hear "Hail Zeus" either. Our Saviour already knew
well in advance and warned us all that many devout
followers
would make grave mistakes based upon
their faulty knowledge.

22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord!
We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your
name and performed many miracles in your name.’
23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from
me, you who break God’s laws.’
(Matthew 7:22-23) (NLT)

Now is the time to discard utterly worthless beliefs and
put true and accurate beliefs to work for us. Successful
communication with the true God, our Father, Jehovah,
depends on it!

4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book,
until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and
knowledge shall increase."
(Daniel 12:4) (ESV)

That time is right now!
