The Power of Prayer

Most of the people in this world follow a religion
and in many religions is a provision for communicating
with a deity. Christendom, especially Catholicism,
promotes the idea that mindless repetition of the
Lord’s Prayer is the accepted way to pray to their
nameless lord and that is exactly what they do. A lot!
This is not really what Jehovah, the true God, wants
from us. To worship Jehovah properly we need to
pray to our Heavenly Father, but not repetitiously.

After all, how would we like it if people came up to
us and muttered the same phrases to us over and over?

People would not conceive of talking to other people like a
"broken record", so why do people treat The God who created
the universe as if He would like to hear monotonous repetition?

Jehovah’s Son never taught that:

"But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:
for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking."
(Matthew 6:7) (King James Version)

People around the world love to pray repetitiously to their false
gods, so we should want to avoid being like them. When Christ
gave us the "Lord’s prayer", he made it plain that it was a guide
to go by:

"Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth
what things ye have need of, before ye ask him."
(Matthew 6:8) (King James Version)

What else do we need to know?

A lot more than the bumbling preachers of Christendom teach!
Prayer should only be directed to Jehovah – as He requires –
not His Son or anybody else!

1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am Jehovah thy God,
who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
(Exodus 20:1-3) (ASV)

Proper prayer to Jehovah is a serious business. If we want Jehovah
to listen to our prayers, we must do it the way He requires. Jehovah
has strict requirements but He doesn’t really ask for much!

Most people know to pray to Jehovah in His Son’s name.

This is why:

6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me."
(John 14:6) (NIV)

But more importantly,

"If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."
(John 14:14) (New Living Translation)

Most Christians are more than happy to pray to God in Jesus’ name.
About two billion Christians around the world pray to God in Jesus’
name every day. Their first mistake is praying to God without specifying
which God. Consequently, Jehovah may disregard their prayers.

What is the second mistake?

Oddly enough, it is praying in Jesus’ name!

And why is that?

Jehovah’s Son is not named Jesus! According to the
Catholic Encyclopedia:
http://www.catholicity.com/encyclopedia/

JESUS

The word Jesus is the Latin form of the Greek Iesous,
which in turn is the transliteration of the Hebrew Jeshua,
or Joshua, or again Jehoshua, meaning "Jehovah is salvation."

From: http://www.catholicity.com/encyclopedia/j/jesus_christ,origin_of_name_of.html

This is a widespread and popular belief. Many people are
already aware that the Son of God’s name in Hebrew is
Yeshua or Jeshua. That is True enough.

What else is true?

"Joshuah" or "Jehoshuah" translates
as "The Salvation of Jehovah".

"(Joshua) Yahshua/Yahushua/Yahoshua, is the
correct Name for the Savior. In all spellings and
pronunciation, the Name is rendered to mean
"salvation of YAH" or "YAH'S salvation/ (His)
Savior." The Name (Joshua) in its fullest translation
means, "He (YAH) shall save His people. (Yah or
Jah - is an abbreviation for Jehovah) (Just as Yeshua
(Joshua) is an abbreviation for Yehoshuah or Jehoshuah) -
(meaning - The Salvation of Jehovah - or Jehovah's Savior)."
-COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE,
by C. J. Koster

We can see that Jehoshuah means "Jehovah's Savior"

"The name "Jehoshua" means the same as Joshua."
-Hitchcocks’s Dictionary of Bible Names

Since "Jehoshuah" or "Joshua" literally means "the
Salvation of Jehovah" - we can see why people said
that he came in his Father's Name.

9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed,
cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David:
Blessed is
he that cometh in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna
in the highest.
(Matthew 21:9) (NIV)

We can also see why Jehovah chose this name for his Son -
because "Jehoshua" is to be the means by which Jehovah
would provide salvation to Mankind. This is in total
agreement with the prophet Joel, who said that only those
calling upon the name of "Jehovah" would be saved.

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call
on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered..."
(Joel 2:32) (ASV)

So what is wrong with calling our Savior "Jesus"?

"It is known that the Greek name endings with sus,
seus, and sous were attached by the Greeks to names
and geographical areas as means to give honour to
their supreme deity, Zeus."
-Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend
Professor J. C. J. Metford

So what does the name, "Jesus" Mean, in Greek?

"Some authorities, who have spent their entire
lives studying the origins of names believe
that "Jesus" actually means - "Hail Zeus!"
For
Iesous in Greek IS "Hail Zeus."
"Ie" translates as "Hail" and "sous"
or "sus" translates as Zeus. The English
name "Jesus", therefore, stems etymologically
from "Jupiter-Zeus" the chief god of the
ancient Greek Olympus."
-"Yeshua" or "Jesus" -- Which?
Biblical Research Institute; 1996
by Les Aron Gosling

From: http://www.meguiar.addr.com/End_Times_Table_of_Contents.htm

How did "Jehoshua" mutate into "Jesus"?

"And so it is throughout Christendom. The name of
Jahwah is ignored by the apostate religion. When
the Savior was born into the world his mother was
a Hebrew maid of the tribe of Judah; but His Father
was the Almighty whose name alone is Jahwah, or Jah.

Strong's, Hebrew # 3050; Jah; the sacred name. As
He was the Son of Jahwah, it was evident that He
would carry His Father's name, and He plainly states
saying, " I am come in My Father's Name." John 5; 43.

Our translated scripture says that Jahwah's Son's name
is Jesus, a compound word of Ie and Zeus. But remember
the heavenly messenger spoke unto a Hebrew, and
declared His name in the Hebrew, which the writer
explained to mean, "Jah is Salvation."

This name, Jahshuwah, being Hebrew, was objectionable
to the Greeks and Romans, who hated the Judeans, and
so it was deleted from the records, and a new name inserted.

Jahshuwah was thus replaced by Ie-Sous, now known to
us as Jesus
.

The new religion was known as Christianity, because the
supreme deity of it was called Christos, and so we ask,
whence came Christos ?

The Hebrews called their coming Savior the Messiah.
The disciples of the Savior accepted Him as such, and
to them He was known as Jahshuwah the Messiah.
The Greeks, however, rejected the Hebrew name, and
called Him Christos, similar to Chrisna ( Krisna ), name
of the deity-savior of the East.

Among the people of the East, a sun-god savior was
worshipped by the name of Krisna, and so among the
Greeks of the new religion the Savior was known as
Kristos, or Christos. Thus the Sanskrit name was of
the Indian messiah became the name of the messiah
of the new religion, and it was known as the new Christian
( Krisna ) faith.

They had worshipped Zeus, or Jupiter, as the supreme
deity, so now they were told the new name was Theos,
or Dios, or God. Their savior was Zeus, so now they
were to accept Jesus ( Iesous, or Zeus ).

He came in His Father's Name and by that we must
adore Him. Away with the pagan name Christ, heathen
name Jesus, and exalt the Savior, Jahshuwah, the Son
of Jahwah, by His own name."
THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTIANITY: by A.B. Traina

From: http://www.meguiar.addr.com/origin_of_christianity.htm

Other Scholars agree.

"Many people think that we are just trying to be different
and make another cult, but let us examine the facts. It is
admitted that the Saviour never heard himself addressed
as Jesus Christ, not even when Greeks went to Philip and
said, "We would see Yahushua" (John 12:20-21). The
Greek proselytes knew him as Yahushua, and as the
Messiah, for there is no other NAME under heaven, given
unto men, whereby we must be saved. The name "Jesus"
was never applied to the Saviour during His lifetime, nor
for nearly 300 years after His death and resurrection."

From: http://yahushua.net/nicolaitan.htm

"Jesus. That was a name given to him
by the early church many years after
His death. They wanted to remove any
Jewishness from the new church.
They eliminated His Jewish name and
blended the name of Zeus into the
Christian church to make it comfortable
for all those who previously worshipped
the Greek and Roman gods. It made it
easier for the pagans to become Christians.
Since Zeus was the top god of their experience,
attaching the name Ioesus to Yahshua gave
Him top priority in the worship hierarchy."
-Winds of Praise Broadcasting
Believer or Follower?
The Sound of the Shofar
By Jon Thompson

So we can plainly see that the name, "Jesus" is the opposite
of the name, "Jehoshua". Now that we understand that, we
now know better than to pray to a nameless lord in Jesus’
name. Now that "The End" of this world is so near, people
have an extra incentive to pray to Jehovah is His Son’s actual
name as Bible prophecy requires.

"Hail Zeus" or "Salvation of Jehovah"?

...this is what was said through the prophet Joel,
"And in the last days," God says... everyone who
calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved."
(Acts 2:16,17,21) (NWT)
www.watchtower.org

"For the Scripture says... 'everyone who calls on the name
of Jehovah will be saved.'"
(Romans 10:11,13) (NWT)
www.watchtower.org

Lastly, we have a quaint way of ending our prayers
that has got to stop. Now is a good time!

Amen

According to the online Encyclopedia Wikipedia:

"Amun (also spelled Amon, Amoun, Amen, and
rarely Imen,
Greek Ἄμμων Ammon, and Ἅμμων
Hammon, reconstructed
Egyptian Yamānu) was
the name of a
deity, in Egyptian mythology, who
gradually rose to become one of the most important
deities in Ancient Egypt, before fading into obscurity."

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amun

We have all been tricked into ending our
prayers with the name of an Egyptian god!

We can be sure that Jehovah does not want to hear that!
We can be equally sure that Jehovah does not want to
hear "Hail Zeus" either. Our Saviour already knew
well in advance and warned us all that many devout
followers
would make grave mistakes based upon
their faulty knowledge.

22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord!
We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your
name and performed many miracles in your name.’
23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from
me, you who break God’s laws.’
(Matthew 7:22-23) (NLT)

Now is the time to discard utterly worthless beliefs and
put true and accurate beliefs to work for us. Successful
communication with the true God, our Father, Jehovah,
depends on it!

4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book,
until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and
knowledge shall increase."
(Daniel 12:4) (ESV)

That time is right now!

Why Does the World
Refuse to Say God’s Name?

The True God who created us and the whole, entire
universe has a name. Our God is not a nameless Lord!

He picked out His name Himself and the Bible says that
His name is
Jehovah. Yet in spite of the fact that Jehovah

had his prophets write His name down almost 7,000 times

in the Old Testament of The Bible, most of the people of

the world do not pray to Jehovah or even use His name

much at all.

9 Jehovah our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

(Psalm 8:9) (Darby)

Today most people who call themselves “Christian”
enthusiastically proclaim their love for the son of
God,
but ignore his Father, who is also our
Father
.

That is not what the ancient Jews did!

Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name
for ever and ever. 3 Great is Jehovah, and exceedingly
to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
(Psalm 145:2,3) (American Standard Version)

1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are
corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.

(Psalms 14:1) (New International Version)

3  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.

(2Corinthians 1:3) (NIV)

There are other people in the world who are not Christians
and do not worship The One True God of our universe.

Is that wise?

31 For who is God, save Jehovah?
And who is a rock, besides our God?

 (Psalm 18:31) (American Standard Version)

And what about the people who are convinced that Jesus is
God? Did he ever say to anybody “I am God! Worship me!”

No
. he never said anything like that. Never! Not one time.

But that does not stop people from putting those words
into his
mouth, does it?

What did Christ say about himself?

8 I told my followers what you told me, and they
accepted it. They know that I came from you and
they believe that you are the one who sent me.
(John 17:8) (Contemporary English Version)

49 For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father
who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.

(John 12:49) (NIV)

And what did the Apostles say about him?

"The One that God sent speaks God's words."
(John 3:34) (The Message Version)

7 During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up
prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the
one who could save him from death, and he was heard
because of his reverent submission. 8 Although he was
a son
, he learned obedience from what he suffered
.
(Hebrews 5:7,8) (NIV)

13 For it is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the
God of Jacob, the God of all our ancestors who has
brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this. This
is the same Jesus whom you handed over and rejected
before Pilate, despite Pilate's decision to release him.
(Acts 3:13) (New Living Translation)

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the
prophets at many times and in various ways,
but in
these last days he has spoken to us by his Son..."

(Hebrews 1:1,2) (NIV)

And what did the people say at the time?

"And the crowds were saying, "This is the
prophet Jesus,
from Nazareth in Galilee."

(Matthew 21:11) (New American Standard Bible)

We know who the son of God is.

Why is it important to know His Father’s name?

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall
call on the name of
Jehovah shall be delivered.
(Joel 2:32) (ASV)

Will this apply to people who think of Jehovah just once in a while?

13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
(Matthew 24:13) (NIV)

16 Then they that feared Jehovah spake one with another;
and Jehovah hearkened, and heard, and a book of
remembrance was written before him, for them that
feared Jehovah, and that thought upon his name.
(Malachi 3:16) (NIV)

Perhaps not!

Compromise or
Stand Firm?

Standing Firm for our beliefs is the opposite of "Compromise".

With
Pagan Holidays to amuse and distract us, will we STAND FIRM
and show our strength in the purity of Christ's original teachings, or will
we be weak - and compromise with the world?

What pagan holidays? Are Christmas and Easter pagan holidays?

Christmas and Easter

"It was in the fifth century that the Roman Catholic Church
commanded that the birth of Christ be observed forever on
December 25th, the day
of the old Pagan Roman feast
of the birth of Sol
, one of the names of their pagan sun-
god
!"

- Encyclopedia Americana, Vol.6, p.623

"THE BIRTHDAY OF Nimrod, the son of the Babylonian Queen,
was
adopted by the Roman Church, giving it the name of
Christ.
This tendency on the part of the apostate Church of Rome,
to compromise and meet paganism half-way was very early
developed."
-The Two Babylons; pg. 93
Alexander Hislop

The Early Christians were STRONG in their faith

and they REFUSED to Compromise.

"All men will hate you because of me, but he who
STANDS FIRM to the end
will be saved.
At that
time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds

with great power and glory."
(Mark 13:13,26) (New International Version)

Yes, True followers of Christ - always refuse to compromise.

24 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one
and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise
the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."
(Matthew 6:24) (NIV)

The early Christians were hated by the world around them,
for their refusal to compromise with the Roman world.
They were considered unpatriotic and anti-social while
the Roman world was deep into the frivolity of Saturnalia
Winter Celebration on December 25th. For this they were
despised.

"But what makes you Christian people so offensive
is your stubbornness. You are antisocial snobs.
You will not show proper respect for our festivals."
--- Glimpses Issue #139 :
Why Early Christians Were So Despised;

by Christian History Institute.
"The Octavius of Minicius Felix"

From: http://chi.gospelcom.net/GLIMPSEF/glmpstt.shtml

"We Christians neither cover our doorposts with wreaths,
nor... decorate our house like some new brothel.
We...
do NOT celebrate along with you the holidays...

The pagan Romans clad their doorposts with green
and branching laurels... In the Saturnalia... Presents
come and go... There are... gifts... and Banquets...
yet Christians should have no acquaintance with
the festivals of the pagans."
- Tertullian, (A.D. 155-220),
quoted by David Bercot,
A Dictionary of Early
Christian Beliefs, 1998, p. 342).

What about birthday celebration?

"the earliest Christians simply were NOT interested
in celebrating the Nativity
. They 'viewed birthday
celebrations as heathen'
. The third-century church
father - Origen had declared it a sin to even think
of keeping Christ's birthday 'as though he were a
king pharoah'."
- December 23,1996 issue of
US News & World Report

"Christians of the first century did not celebrate the festival
honoring the birth of Jesus - for the same reason they honored
no other birthday anniversary. It was the feeling at that
time by all Christians that the celebration of all birthdays (even
the Lord's)
was a custom of the pagans."
- Dr. John C. McCollister's
The Christian Book of Why

MEN PLEASERS - or - GOD PLEASERS?

"Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God?
Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to
please men, I would NOT be a servant of Christ."
(Galatians 1:10) (NIV)

"You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with
the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be
a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."
(James 4:4) (NIV)

11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and
darkness; instead, rebuke and
expose them.
(Ephesians 5:11) (NIV)

"Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can
light live with darkness? What harmony can there be be-
tween Christ and the Devil? ...Therefore, come out from
them and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord.
Don't touch their filthy things..."
(2Corinthians 6:14-17) (New Living Translation)

"And why do you break the command of God for the sake
of your tradition? Thus you nullify the word of God for
the sake of your tradition."
(Matthew 15:3,6) (NIV)

REFUSING TO COMPROMISE

Christ and his early followers were noted for their refusal
to compromise
. They took death rather than compromise
their faith.

"An arrested Christian could receive a pardon simply by
offering incense on a Roman altar, but many
refused
to do so
, citing scripture passages urging faith in the
one God "JEHOVAH". These heroes of the Christians
were called "martyrs," a word that means
WITNESSES’."
- A History of Christianity in Egypt;
Birth and Early Growth

Their refusal to follow worldly festivals and their refusal
to compromise with the pagan world around them caused
them to be ridiculed, ostracized, and often persecuted.
And yet, they stood firm.

What about Easter? Is Easter as bad as Christmas?

"Christmas and Easter - These spurious, counterfeit
holydays represent a COMPROMISE with paganism,
an attempt on the part of the church to convert the
heathen by meeting them halfway.
But the Scriptures
clearly teach that there must be NO Compromise
with the evil one on any point. Paul gives the warning:
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter
times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to
seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies
in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot
iron." 1 Timothy 4:1, 2."
-HEATHEN CUSTOMS In the Christian Church;
By Murl Vance

What is so bad about Easter?

"It is interesting that the holiest day of the liturgical Christian
year,
Easter Sunday, bears the name of the pagan sex goddess
Eastre and the pagan sun god Solis."
-Panati, Charles. Sacred Origins of Profound Things.
New York: Penguin Books USA Inc., 1996.

"The forms and ceremonies of paganism gradually crept
into the worship. Some of the old heathen feasts became
church festivals with change of name... "
- (Story of the Christian Church, p.79) ;
Jesse Lyman Hurlbut

"Subtly... the old gods had entered their churches...
And they live still in the festivals of Christianity."
--(Testament: The Bible and History, Romer,
1988, pp. 230-31).

TRUE CHRISTIANS ARE WITHOUT SPOT FROM THE WORLD

"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and
Father is... to keep oneself unstained by the world."

(James 1:27) (NASB)

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable..."
(1Corinthians 15:58) (New American Standard Bible)

"Obey his commands with all purity. Then no one can find
fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ returns."

(1Timothy 6:14) (NLT)

An excellent suggestion considering that our Messiah is
indeed coming back to us soon!

A SMALL REMNANT - A "CULT" THAT REFUSES TO COMPROMISE

Those who refuse to compromise with paganism; those who refuse
to celebrate Christmas and Easter are HATED by the World.

Yes, the minority Christians who refuse to compromise
with the pagan celebration of Christmas and Easter are
hated by the world. But then, they expected that.

"If you lived on the world's terms, the world would love
you as one of its own. But since I picked you to live on
God's terms and no longer on the world's terms
, the
world is going to hate you
."
(John 15:19) (Message Bible)

They are labeled as non-Christians and usually looked down
upon as being a cult and yet, they are more closely following
the teachings of Christ than the majority Christians who
openly
ignore
the Bible's warnings about compromise.

There are over seven million of these Christians who
refuse to COMPROMISE with the rest of Christendom.
They would rather take the ridicule of apostate Christians
than to compromise their faith. They would rather follow
closely in Christ's footsteps. Like Christ and the early
Christians, they are labeled as a "CULT".

Their refusal to compromise automatically tells who they are.
Yes, because they are famous for not following the crowd.
They are famous for being different. They are famous for
being disliked and for refusing to compromise with the world.

As a group, Jehovah's Witnesses are famous for
NOT
celebrating Christmas,
Easter, Halloween or birthdays
because they refuse to
compromise their faith.
While the
world of Christendom, the nominal Christians, make excuses
for celebrating pagan festivities, these last thoughts from the
Bible will be left with them:

"...in the "LAST DAYS"... They will love fun instead of loving
God. They will do things to make it look as if they are Christians.
But they will not receive the power that is for a Christian."
(2Timothy 3:1,4,5) (New Life Version)

"The world and all its desires will pass away. But the man who
obeys God and does what He wants done will live forever."
(1John 2:17) (NLV)

"Deal as sparingly as possible with the things the world
thrusts on you. This world as you see it is on its way out."

(1Corinthians 7:31) (MSG)

"So leave the corruption and don't COMPROMISE; leave it
for good," says God. "Don't link up with those who will
pollute you.
I want you all for myself."
(2Corinthians 6:17) (MSG)

"Like a muddied fountain and a polluted spring is a
righteous man who yields, falls down, and
compromises
his integrity
before the wicked."
(Proverbs 25:26) (Amplified Bible)

Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do NOT do what I say?
(Luke 6:46) (NIV)

"On judgment day many will tell me, `Lord, Lord, we prophesied
in your name... and performed many miracles in your name.'
But
I will reply, `I never knew you. Go away; the things you
did were unauthorized.' "

(Matthew 7:22,23) (NLT)

How important is it to stand firm to the end?

"All men will hate you because of me, but he who
stands STANDS FIRM to the end will be saved."
(Matthew 10:22-23) (NIV)

CHRIST HAS ALREADY SHOWN
US WHAT HE PLANS TO DO

By resurrecting the dead back to a restored life here on the
earth, Our Savior, God's Son, displayed not only his ability
to resurrect the dead - but
also his future intentions.

18 While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt
before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But
come and put your hand on her, and she will live."
19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.
23 When Jesus entered the ruler's house and saw the
flute players and the noisy crowd, 24 he said, "Go away.
The girl is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at
him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in
and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26 News of
this spread through all that region.
(Matthew 9:18-19,23-26) (New International Version)

The Bible’s prophets wrote about this extraordinary
phenomenon many times thousands of years ago:

"Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake."
(Daniel 12:2) (NIV)

"Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will open
your graves, and cause you to come up out of your
graves, O my people; and I will bring you into the land...
And I will put my Spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I
will place you in your own land: and ye shall know that
I, Jehovah, have spoken it and performed it, saith Jehovah."
(Ezekiel 37:12-14) (American Standard Version)

"Your dead will live; Their corpses will rise. You who lie
in the dust, awake and shout for joy, For your dew is as
the dew of the dawn, And the earth will give birth to the
departed spirits. "
(
Isaiah 26:19) (New American Standard Bible)

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live?
And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, thou knowest. 4 Again
he said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto
them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah. 5 Thus
saith the Lord Jehovah unto these bones: Behold, I will
cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live. 6 And I
will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you,
and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye
shall live; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. 7 So I
prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied,
there was a noise, and, behold, an earthquake; and the
bones came together, bone to its bone. 8 And I beheld,
and, lo, there were sinews upon them, and flesh came up,
and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in
them. 9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind,
prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the
Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O breath, and
breathe upon these slain, that they may live. 10 So I
prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came
into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet,
an exceeding great army.
(Ezekiel 37:3-10) (ASV)

Under the direction of his Father and using the power
that Jehovah will give him Christ will resurrect many
people back to life right here on the earth.

"Don't be surprised! The time will come when all
of the dead will
hear the voice of the Son of
Man
, and they will come out of their graves."
(John 5:28) (Contemporary English Version)

Even in Christ’s Day - The people recognized
that it was the God of Israel - Jehovah - who
gave His Son His power.

"The people were amazed when they saw the mute
speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking
and the blind seeing
. And they praised the God of
Israel
. "

(Matthew 15:31) (NIV)

"One night he went to Jesus and said, 'Sir, we know
that God has sent you to teach us.
You could not
work these miracles, unless God were with you.' "

(John 3:2) (CEV)

Did Christ possess this power because he was God?

"Jesus gave them this answer: ' I tell you the truth,
the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only
what he sees his Father doing...
For just as the Father
raises the dead
and gives them life, even so the Son
gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. ' "
(John 5:19,21) (NIV)

Many Gods and
Many Lords

The pious people of Christendom are generally satisfied
that they are serving the God of the Bible. They flock to
churches plastered with crosses, celebrate Christmas,
Easter, Valentine’s day and pray to their trinity god, Jesus.
What they don’t realize is that they are actually serving
a multitude of gods who oppose the God of the Bible.

5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven
or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many
"lords"), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father,
from whom all things came and for whom we live; and
there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all
things came and through whom we live.
(1Corinthians 8:5-6) (NIV)

And who is the True God?

8 I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not
give to another, neither my praise unto graven images.
(Isaiah 42:8) (American Standard Version)

Who is the trinity god?

Is Jehovah a trinity God?

9 And Jehovah shall be King over all the earth: in that day
shall Jehovah be one, and his name one.
(Zecariah 14:9) (ASV)

The Bible says No, He is NOT!

"The Church of Rome borrowed her doctrine
of the Divinity of Christ from the pagans
and the way they worshipped their pagan gods,
as half human and half god. Their adoration
of Jesus as a man-god was almost identical
to their devotions to the ancient pagan gods."
-Pagan Origin of Partialist Doctrines
By John Claudius Pitrat
Published 1871

"The cult that arose in Babylon and spread its cult
tentacles throughout the world was
trinitarian
(Two Babylons, by Alexander Hislop). At first,
this doctrine was merely humanism, man making
himself god. The first humanism trinity of record to
be setup and worshiped as gods, was that of Nimrod,
Simeramus, and Tammuz. These are in the Old
Testament in the Canaanite language identified as
Baal, Ashtoreth, and Tammuz. At the dispersion of
the people at the Tower of Babel, this trinity doctrine
of humanism was spread all over the world. Each
religion of all the pagan religions held two common
traits: 1.) A trinity of gods and; 2.) These were in a
form of human gods."

The Trinity Doctrine Is Pagan
By Cohen G. Reckart, Pastor

Why did pagan beliefs become incorporated
into the beliefs God’s son brought us?

1 Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times
some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow
deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.
2 These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences
are dead.
(1Timothy 4:1-2) (New Living Translation)

Who is Jesus?

This seems like a silly question since most people,
even non-Christians will identify "Jesus" as the son
of God. Oddly enough,
that is not the name of
God’s son!
It is fairly common knowledge that
Christ's name in the Hebrew texts of the Bible is
"Yeshua". Whenever the name "Yeshua" is enountered
it is supposed to be translated to "Joshua".
This is
as it should be.

"Jesus - In Hebrew it is the same as Joshua.
In two places [Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8] in
the New Testament it is used where is means
Joshua, the leader of the Jews into Canaan,
and in our translation
the name Joshua should
have been retained."
-Albert Barnes' -
Notes on the New Testament
Notes on Matthew 1:21

"Joshua" or "Jehoshua" translates
as "The Salvation of Jehovah".

"(Joshua) Yahshua/Yahushua/Yahoshua, is the
correct Name for the Savior. In all spellings and
pronunciation, the Name is rendered to mean
"salvation of YAH" or "YAH'S salvation/ (His)
Savior." The Name (Joshua) in its fullest translation
means, "He (YAH) shall save His people. (Yah or
Jah - is an abbreviation for Jehovah) (Just as Yeshua
(Joshua) is an abbreviation for Yehoshuah or Jehoshuah) -
(meaning - The Salvation of Jehovah - or Jehovah's Savior)."
-COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE,
by C. J. Koster

"The name "Jehoshua" means the same as Joshua."
-Hitchcocks’s Dictionary of Bible Names

Since "Yehoshua" or "Jehoshua" literally means "the
Salvation of Jehovah" - we can see why people said
that he came in his Father's Name.

9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed,
cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David:
Blessed is
he that cometh in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in
the highest.
(Matthew 21:9) (NIV)

We can also see why Jehovah chose this name for his son -
because "Jehoshua" is to be the means by which Jehovah
would provide Salvation to Mankind. This is in total agreement
with the prophet Joel, who said that only those calling upon the
name of "Jehovah" would be saved.

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call
on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered..."
(Joel 2:32) (ASV)

So how did Jehoshua Christ come to be known as "Jesus"?

"It is known that the Greek name endings with sus,
seus, and sous were attached by the Greeks to names
and geographical areas as means to give honour to
their supreme deity, Zeus."
-Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend
Professor J. C. J. Metford

So what does the name, "Jesus" Mean, in Greek?

"Some authorities, who have spent their entire
lives studying the origins of names believe
that "Jesus" actually means - "Hail Zeus!"
For Iesous in Greek IS
"Hail Zeus."
"Ie" translates as "Hail" and "sous"
or "sus" translates as Zeus.
The English
name "Jesus", therefore, stems etymologically
from "Jupiter-Zeus" the chief god of the
ancient Greek Olympus."

How Insulting!

Of all the insulting and barabaric beliefs incorporated
into modern Christianity, it is difficult to find a more
egregious and slanderous defamation.

Zeus JPG

How can it get worse?
Who does the cross really belong to?

"It was not until Christianity began to be PAGANIZED that
the cross came to be thought of as a Christian symbol."
- Babylon Mystery Religion; Ralph Woodrow (pg 50)

'That which is now called the Christian cross was originally
no Christian emblem at all, but was the mystic Tau of the
Chaldeans (Babylonians) and the Egyptians."
- Alexander Hislop, The Two Babylons, 2nd American edition.
(Neptune, New Jersey, U.S.A: Loizeaux Brothers, 1959;
(originally written in 1862), pp. 197-205.

'There is hardly a Pagan tribe where the cross has not been
found.
The cross was worshipped by the Pagan Celts
long before the incarnation and death of Christ.
'(10)
- 10. Ibid. p. 199. 'Crabb's Mythology, p. 163.'

"Various objects, dating from periods long anterior to the
Christian era, have been found, marked with crosses of
different designs, in almost every part of the old world.
India, Syria, Persia and Egypt have all yielded numberless
examples... The use of the cross as a religious symbol in
pre-Christian times and among non-Christian peoples may
probably be regarded as almost universal, and in very many
cases it was connected with some form of nature worship."
—Encyclopædia Britannica (1946), Vol. 6, p. 753. "Cross"

Christians know this commandment:

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
(Exodus 20:3) (ASV)

But most nominal Christians eagerly serve many
false gods on their sacred days willingly.

What other gods do nominal Christians worship?

Most people are at least vaguely aware that God's son,
our messiah was not born on December 25th.

Who was born on that day?

"December 25th - not only was Mithra, the sun-god of
Mithraism, said to be born at this time of the year, but
Osiris, Horus, Hercules, Bacchus, Adonis, Jupiter,
Tammuz, and other sun-gods were also supposedly
born at what is today called the "Christmas" season,
the winter solstice!"
- Doane, p.474;
- "The Two Babylons; Alexander Hislop, p.93.

"The winter solstice (December) was the time at which
all the sun-gods from Osiris to Jupiter and Mithra had
celebrated their (birthdays) - the celebration being
adorned with the pine tree of Adonis, the holly of Saturn,
and the mistletoe (of the pagan Druids)... tapers(candles)
represented the kindling of the newborn sun-god's fire..."
-Man and His Gods, p. 201.

And more gods...

"Easter is a heathen term, derived from the Saxon
goddess Eastre, the same as Astarte, the Syrian Venus,
called Ashtoreth in the Old Testament."
- The Companion Bible, King James Version
(Grand Rapids, Michigan: Kregel Publications,
1990), p.1607.)

The history of Valentine's Day is obscure, and further
clouded by various fanciful legends. The holiday's roots
are in the ancient Roman festival of
Lupercalia, a fertility
celebration commemorated annually on February 15.
Pope Gelasius I recast this pagan festival as a Christian
feast day circa 496, declaring February 14 to be St.
Valentine's Day.

How do Christians end their prayers to their God?

Amen

According to the online Encyclopedia Wikipedia:

Amun (also spelled Amon, Amoun, Amen, and
rarely Imen,
Greek Ἄμμων Ammon, and Ἅμμων
Hammon, reconstructed
Egyptian Yamānu) was
the name of a
deity, in Egyptian mythology, who
gradually rose to become one of the most important
deities in Ancient Egypt, before fading into obscurity.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amun

What do the multi-god worshiping nominal Christians look forward to?

"On that day of judgment," says the LORD, "I will
punish the leaders... and all those
following pagan
customs
."
(Zephaniah 1:8) (New Living Translation)

29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained
down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 "It will
be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
(Luke 17:29-30) (NIV)

What day?

37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the
coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before
the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying
and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered
the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would
happen until the flood came and took them all away.
That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
(Matthew 24:37-39) (NIV)

What is a much better idea?

This is what Jehovah's people, would suggest:

"Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the
chaff, before the fierce anger of Jehovah come upon you,
before the day of Jehovah's anger come upon you.
Seek
ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth
, that have kept his
ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be
ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger."
(Zephaniah 2:2,3) (ASV)

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
(Romans 12:9) (NIV)
